I did alright with the first toss, but the second one just flew way to the left... it slipped...
It still blows my mind that Hampstead Heath used to be visible from central London. When we were at our Study Center the director of our program mentioned Parliament Hill (the main hill at Hampstead Heath) was visible from the "country townhouse" where the center is currently housed. It's a few doors down from the British Museum, near Tottenham Court Road, now completely surrounded by tall buildings. We took a 20 minute bus ride to get out there, and it's still just so mind boggling.
Today, our class went on a walking tour through north London. First stop on the trip: Abbey Freaking Road. Hells to the yeah!
Like a Beatle
It was packed, and there were many angry drivers (they haaaate this road because it's a zebra crossing which gives pedestrians the right of way, and thus, when they take their time, it's a hassle). From there, we passed by the Lord's Cricket Court, and went on to Regent's Park. It was in Regent's Park that I took today's picture of the day. The challenge was to mess around with macros:
Look at that color. Hot damn.
Primrose hill is where the Banks family flew kites at the end of Mary Poppins. From the top of the hill, the view is comparable to the view from Hampstead Heath. Absolutely gorgeous.
Joke of the Day:
What do hipster pirates drink?
PBARRRRR!
